KPM Vase with Lid



Ovoid walls with a rounded shoulder and an overlapping, domed lid with a pine knob. On the wall and the lid a white, pale yellow and sky-blue cartouche framed by a finely lined, stylized floral relief decoration. Obverse reserve with a portrait of a girl in underglaze blue painting surrounded by tendrils, signed.



Scepter mark, red imperial orb mark

According to information from KPM, the form is the model form of the Tannenzapf potpourris, first formed in 1775 based on a design by Friedrich Elias Meyer.
