High Important Pair of Figure Groups

for King Frederick the Great

 

On a rococo base a young elegant lady, wearing very fine clothes, playing on a lute, behind her a tree with leaves and blossoms in front of her a basket with apples, pears and grapes.

 

Counterpart:

On a rococo base a young elegant man playing on a transverse flute, behind him a tree with vine tendrils, vine leaves and grapes. In front of him a dog.

 

Very fine and rich polychrome decoration with gold.

 

Design: Friedrich Elias Meyer and Johann Joachim Kaendler.
