Extraordinary Meissen Tea Caddy

 

Of rectangular shape with flat shoulders and a flat lid. 

Body and lid with a fine relief decor with prunusblossoms,

decorated in tender purple and gold. 

The body also decorated with “Chinoiserie” decor with nine Chinese, birds, insects and vegetation in etched gold.
